Which conditions results from the deterioration of the nucleus pulposus?

Question:

Which conditions results from the deterioration of the nucleus pulposus?

Answers

Deterioration of the nucleus pulposus results in a "slipped disk".

Slipped disc is a common degenerative spine condition. It can occur in the cervical (upper), thoracic (middle) and lumbar (lower back) regions of the spine. If a disc tear happens, some of the disc’s gel-like inner core material (nucleus pulposus) can potentially escape the confines of the disc wall and seep into the spinal canal.
