The greatest challenge of operationalizing strategy in the nursing field is the implementation of operation planning, execution of supervision at acute care settings, rotation of staff based on the demand, Elevate the role of the nurse in outpatient setting, allocation of patient to the staff based on the priority, Minimizing of complications and prevent readmissions, Provide payment based on the performance measures. These challenges will change depending on the factors such as the number of staff and patient ratio, staff turnover and retain, number of readmissions and length of stay of the patient in the hospital, staff modeling of the organization.

For example, To meet the demand of nursing staff, managing of staff workflow by maximum utilizing of staff by flexibility. Use of innovative care of inpatient, utilization of outpatient nurses, avoid unnecessary medical admissions, enhance and strengthen the team approach. Appreciate the staff members by performance-based payment and incentives for the minimizing of complications and errors.
