Echinoderms are exclusively marine animal. Arms and spine found in the other classes of Echinodermata but these are absent in class Holothuroidea.

All the echinoderm ( Including Holothuroidea class) have Pentaradial body shape.

Sea cucumber comes under class Holothuroidea. They have the same five fold symmetry at their tentacles.

Ossicles are calcified structure present in the dermis of echinoderms. These are microscopic in Holothuroidea class.

Animals in the phylum Echinodermata (such as sea stars, sand dollars, and sea urchins) display radial symmetry as adults, but their larval stages exhibit bilateral symmetry. This is termed secondary radial symmetry.

The sea cucumber has three sites for oxygen uptake: the tube feet, the body wall, and the respiratory tree.

Respiratory trees are unique to sea cucumbers and are not found in any other echinoderm. All species of holothuroidea must use at least one of these organs to breath.
