How does fluid intake influence constipation?

Question:

How does fluid intake influence constipation?

Answers

Inadequate fluid intake has been reported to lead to constipation, as according to researches when fluid intake which includes water and juice is fewer than four glasses of water a day in 73.4% of the children intestinal constipation has been observed. Further epidemiological evidence indicates a correlation between low fluid intake and intestinal constipation. Thus increased water intake is a recommended treatment of functional intestinal constipation and is part of the guidelines, (Sabine, 2017).
