Vaccination
Vaccination is an inoculation with a vaccine, in order to protect from a particular diseases.
Vaccines are the substance given to stimulate the body's production of antibodies and provide immunity against a disease without causing the disease itself in the treatment, prepared from the agent that causes the disease or a synthetic substitute.
Vaccination is an important factor that influence a child's health in today's world. World witnessed tremendous changes in the child mortality rate in most of the developed countries is due to the process of vaccination. It prevents the killer diseases of childhood such as measles, mumps, Rubella , Diphtheria , pertussis and tetanus and so on. But mandating the Vaccination is not too fair. The decision should leave for the parents.
Parents have the complete right over their children and they should have the freedom to decide over vaccination.
No federal laws are mandating the Vaccination but in US, most of the states , schools are admitting the child only after immunization. Schools can laid down such rules and the Government also has to create awareness on the importance of vaccination. But mandating the Vaccination with law is not appreciable. Because there are social groups that are not supporting vaccines and also vaccines are not 100% effective and risk free. Some rare cases of severe side effects and even death reported in some events of vaccination.
So the freedom to decide on vaccination have to leave for the parents but meanwhile encourage and empower them to take decision to safeguard their children's life from communicable diseases.
