Question:

  1. As strongly evidenced by the ACA and prior legislative attempts to address the problems of the health care system, these attempts are always met by shifting alliances among well financed and, often, self-serving lobbying groups. How, in the American system of politics, can health care get more objective support on behalf of consumers?
Can someone explain this to me?

Answers

There are many changes which need to be implemented to allow more objective support and beneficial to consumers (consumer centric). One of the major changes is having individuals buy and own their own health insurance coverage which would allow ownership of coverage for greater benefit to consumers. Additionally, individuals should also be allowed to choose their own health insurance coverage allowing greater choice and preference for consumers. Individuals should also be allowed a wider range of coverage choices and there should be legislation of greater transparency of coverage pricing. Individuals should also have the periodic opportunity to change health coverage.
