Answers

RESEARCH MEMORY STRENGTHENING TECHNIQUES IN ADULTS:

1. MEDITATION TO IMPROVE MEMORY: Research has shown that people with no experience in meditation can improve memory recall in just eight weeks. Meditation with its power to help us concentrate, has also been shown to improve standardized test scores and working memory abilities after just 2 weeks.

2. DRINKING COFFEE TO IMPROVE YOUR MEMORY CONSOLIDATION: Most research has found , little to no effect from ingesting caffeine prior to creating new memories.

3. EATING BERRIES FOR BETTER LONG TERM MEMORY: Its found that supplementing a normal diet with blue berries for twelve weeks improved performance on spatial working memory tasks.

4.

EXERCISE TO IMPROVE YOUR MEMORY RECALL: Regular exercise can improve memory recall. Fitness in older adults have been proven to slow the decline of memory without continued regular exercise.

5. EATING CHEWING GUM TO MAKE STRONGER MEMORIES: Its a contradictory research. a study published last year, participants who completed a memory recall task were more accurate and higher reaction times if they chewed gum during the study.

6 SLEEP MORE TO CONSOLIDATE YOUR MEMORIES: Sleep has proven to be one of the most important elements in having a good memory. since sleep is when most of our memory consolidation process occurs.

ACCORDING TO ME FROM ALL THE ABOVE TECHNIQUES, MEDITATION IS THE EFFECTIVE ONE.

AS DURING MEDITATION OUR BRAINS STOPS PROCESSING INFORMATION AS ACTIVELY AS IT DOES NORMALLY WHICH GIVES BOOST DURING NORMAL MEMORY FUNCTIONING OF BRAIN.

CARDIOVASCULAT HEALTH PREVENTIVE MEASURES:

  • Regular exercise
  • balanced diet/ nutrition
  • no tobacco , smoking
  • optimal blood pressure
  • maintaining normal LDL- cholesterol and glucose levels.

ONE AREA TO WORK ONE WOULD BE BALANCED DIET FOR ME: ITS PLAN OF ACTION CAN BE:

  • Reduction of any extra fat. i.e. butter on bread, sour cream on baked potatoes and salad dressings.
  • Rather than frying meat, bake, grill or broil it. try eating fish at least once a week.
  • Eat plenty of fruits and vegetables with meals and as snacks.
  • Read the nutrition labels on foods before you buy them.
  • staying hydrated is very important for good health. drink zero or low calorie beverages.
